Jane-Michèle Clark is a Senior Principal of Canadian Business Success Centre, author of soon-to-be-published Point of DistinctionTM, a qualitative research expert, MBA prof at the Schulich School of Business and 10-time nominee for Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.

Jane-Michèle has some 30 years’ experience developing highly-effective business strategies, integrated marketing campaigns, customer retention and employee engagement programs for B2B and B2C companies in multiple countries, industries and segments. As part of this work, Jane-Michèle has extensive experience helping companies determine how best to work together. Clark’s approach is to gain a deep understanding of the issues at hand and the environment in which they are being experienced – and then facilitate sessions to help companies author the best solution.

For the past +20 years, Jane-Michèle has headed up Canadian Business Success Centre, a company she and her partner built from scratch to over $15 million in revenue in under two years. She has helped other companies grow from start-ups into multi-nationals, too. In addition, she has worked extensively with larger clients such as Ainsworth, Ault Foods, BMW, Bell Canada, Citizens Utilities, Delta Hotels, Honeywell, Lexus, Quickmill, RBC Dominion Securities and dozens of other blue chip firms.

Jane-Michèle has been responsible for several key marketing advances, including the creation of personalized, targeted direct mail in 1980 and, in 1996, the introduction of flat rate long distance for a US telecommunications client – 18 months before AT&T got word of what they were doing and contacted the client to say they were going to copy the move. In both cases, these initiatives caused significant, permanent changes in two industries.

As a result of these and other ongoing innovations in the marketing arena, Jane-Michèle has been nominated 10 times for Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.

Jane-Michèle facilitates full-day peer-to-peer mentoring/ strategic sessions that are held twice a quarter for company presidents and other senior managers of companies in the GTA.

In addition to running Canadian Business Success Centre and several of its programs, Jane-Michèle conducts corporate training sessions and seminars and speaks regularly on personal branding and professional growth topics.

Jane-Michèle has also been teaching in the MBA program at the Schulich School of Business on a part-time basis for the past 16 years. Topics include: Marketing Management, Market Research, International Marketing and Strategic Marketing Planning.

Having worked on both client and agency sides in multiple sectors, and having worked in Canada (with clients in the US and the Caribbean, too) and been responsible for marketing activities in the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar for a French company, Jane-Michèle’s students benefit from myriad business perspectives and case examples. As a result, she has been nominated multiple times for the SSB Teaching Excellence Award and as a member of the Teaching Excellence committee.

In addition, she is a Strategy Field Study Chair and has acted as a case competition judge at Schulich and other educational institutions.
